ERWIN – Walter Scott Brank, III, age 61, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at his residence.

Although he was a native of North Carolina, Scott resided in Tennessee for the majority of his life.

Mr. Brank was the son of the late Walter Scott “Bud” Jr. and Jane Wilaman Brank.

Scott served with the United States Marine Corps. Mr. Brank retired from the Marine Corp after 3 tours of Vietnam. He was highly decorated, was a member of the Marine Corp Recon Missions, Member of the Sons of Confederate Veterans, and the Mechanized Cavalry Motorcycle Club. Scott attended Nolichuckey Baptist Church.

The remaining family members surviving Scott are: Wife, Lorraine Higgins-Brank; Stepchildren: Monica Price, Heath Price, Jamie Price; Granddaughter: Sarah Price; Mother-In-Law: Lillian Higgins; Brother: Neil Curtis Brank: TX; Sister: Martha Cooper; Baileyton; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Military graveside services will be held Monday, June 29, 2009 at ten o’clock in Mountain Home Cemetery, Mountain Home, TN. The Reverend Joey Murdock will officiate. Those wishing to attend please meet at the cemetery by nine-fifty.
