Obituary: He was a lifelong resident of North Georgia and was a Senior Service Tech with Roadtec. Mr. Harris was a veteran of the U. S. Navy and enjoyed riding his Harley. He was preceded in death by his parents, T. A. and Gladys Mildred Wimpy Harris. Survivors are his wife of 23 years, Donetta Harris; son, Andy Harris; daughter, Lana Harris; sisters, Gail (Kenneth) Hitchcock, Jamie (Bill) Clinton, Belinda Sue “Susie” (Jimmy) Little; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann McClendon; brother-in-laws, Jerry (Terrye) McClendon, David (Diane) McClendon; Roadtec family, and his brothers of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Monday at National Cemetery with Chaplain Chuck Shield and Chaplain John Eldridge officiating. Honorary pallbearers will be his brothers of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital in memory of Meagan or Hospice of Chattanooga.
