Joel Prim attended the July 26, 2008, South Carolina "2nd Annual Red Doe Plantation" run with #5 Colonel Stone, #56 Captain Ricky Womble and member #111 Dennis Shelley, as a new recruit. He so enjoyed his comradely that he joined on the spot and was sworn in as new member #820 for NC even though he lives in SC.
